More about this scene
Holiday camps were developed by Billy Butlin before the Second World War, but their heyday was in the 1950s. Thousands of visitors would visit the camp at Wick Ferry each summer. Apart from the delights of the neighbourhood, a programme of entertainment was organised by the staff at the camp.
