Clophill Post Office Early 50’s

A Memory of Clophill.

I recall the post office very well. When I was about twelve, I lived just the other side of the A6 cross roads, so my visits were frequent as this was very much nearer than Maulden post office. I think I’m right in saying that the two ladies who managed the shop were a Ms Vernon and Ms Graham. I was also very friendly with the family who lived in Ivy House opposite the post office, and, despite many years having passed, I am now back in touch with the children with whom I played so many years ago. Very happy memories!
