Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Landseer Court And Hazel Leys School

A Memory of Corby.

I remember coming to Corby from South Wales and living in Landseer Court. My dad loved Corby, my mum not so much , we had nothing to what we had had in Wales, but it was getting dad out of the pit. We had a great market, and good shops, shame it has not advanced as it should have. I love the wooded areas and also the big black swan which as disappeared, shame, but there you go. The cinema down the old village every Sunday night, the Open Hearth and Dougie King, are my memories.

I moved to corby in 1969. Went to Kingswood junior school. Lived in Burwell walk. I loved corby . Loved the old village. The golden Cockerel . The labour club great memories of Corby. My sister was born in Kettering. Came back to Scotland as my mum never settled

hi my parents also moved from south wales and we also lived in landseer court for a while approx. 1962. I remember dougie king and used to go to the cinema every Saturday with my brothers. I live in Boston lincs now but still visit corby
I used to live next door to dougie king in Barnsley square.i now live in mkt.harborough.i did hear that dougie has died perhaps someone could let me know

Can anyone remember the teachers at the Kingswood Junior from 68 - 70 such as Miss Moreland and Mr Drake ? Is the school still there and are there any items or websites i can visit in this connection ?
