Lady Godiva's bareback ride is a highly prized local tradition. The event is further commemorated in Broadgate by a puppet clock which dates from Coventry's post-war reconstruction. When the clock strikes the hour the doors slide open and Godiva rides once again, while Peeping Tom (a mythical figure) leers down at her from a niche in the wall above.
