Craster oak-smoked kippers are considered to be the best in England, and anyone paying a visit to the village really should not leave without buying some. Local boats still fish for crab and lobster, though fish for the kipper industry is brought in from North Shields.

Beautiful Times Of Craster And Diving Into The Harbour!
i graham armstrong used to holiday in craster every year with my brother kevin, father john armstrong during late 1950's and early 60's. we all stayed at the sweet shop called nelsons on the harbour. many a good time was had by all!

Dunston Square
Dunstanburgh Castle is one of my favourite places; my grandparents, George and Margaret, Armstrong lived in Dunston Square (just a field away from the castle) from 1952 until they both died in the 70's. We lived in Bedlington and went to visit them every summer holidays for a week. It used to take 3 buses and nearly a whole day to get there! However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
