All 300,000 photographs in The Frith Collection have been scanned, but as the photos were taken over a 110 year period on a wide range of glass & film negatives, using different photographic processes, every image has to be checked and optimised, before we make a print for a customer.

Hardy Street Crook

Does anyone have any information about the Laverick family from Hardy street Crook,my grandfather Alfred lived there with his mother Rachel,father Christopher and brothers Fred and Norman.Alfred was married at st Catherine’s church.We would love to try and trace our family history.

Pick Fords Chimney

Many people assume the P H on the chimney was painted on This is not correct the letters were made of fully glazed white bricks these bricks had also been used in the toilet / showers and wash room I worked there as an electrician from 1973 until 1984 when I was transferred to the sister works at hunwick Before I left crook works I was looking in the building behind our electrical workshop which was the old painters ...see more
