My Dad Ivor James was the conductor of the Dorian Singers,they sang all over especially in Park Hall the old cinema,they also sang on the BBC radio.
My mum was Mona Clarke who ran the Post Office in the 70's and 80's. Sadly she died recently and I would love to see any photos or share any memories of that time.
Great memory of tabernacle chapel pantomimes .Mrs ELlis and Watts.aPrince for Cinderella. Babes in the wood. Site now Houses on top of Dandos hill. ,any photos would love to see.David Young I think took lots 1950s.Also ST Johns Church Mr and Mrs Hillier. produced The Snow Queen. Adult group Peggy Hopkins. Organised. Lots of Plays over the 50s
My parents, Les and Lorna Hodges and my sister, Jean, moved into 22 Abercarn Fach in approx. October 1954 just after I was born. My family were the first family to move into the newly built 2 storey flats. We lived above Bill and Gwen Maggs and their daughters, Denise and Elaine.
