More about this scene
The pulpit incorporates some 14th-century panels, and now stands on a modern wooden base. Pevsner rather sadly describes the nave arcades as 'disappointingly scraped'. The ordinary visitor may, however, decide that they are fine and graceful and worth a closer look. The colours of the Devizes Loyal Volunteers hang above the chancel.
