More about this scene

The museum opened in 1955 and was refurbished in 1995. Among many exhibits is a desk from Hitler's Berlin Chancellery. The buildings on the left of the keep have been demolished. The Regent petrol station has been swept away to make more room for the Top o'Town car park.

2nd Battalion Dorset Regiment Married Quarters
My earliest memories are of the married quarters, well into the interior of the barracks of the Dorset Regiment. My father had escaped the poverty of the East End of London in 1923. By 1937 he was a very formidable sergeant of the Second Battalion of the Dorsets. I used to run through the archway of the keep every morning to the Grove School and I was all of about six years old. ...see more

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
