More about this scene

Despite its name, Scotland Street actually leads to Wales. Ellesmere was once part of the dowry of King John's illegitimate daughter, Joan. She was married to Llewellyn, Prince of Gwynedd, in 1205 and subsequently acted as intermediary between Llewellyn in Wales and her father (and later her brother, Henry III) in England.

I would like to shed some more light on this as my grandfather is no longer here ...see more
My mum was evacuated to here during the Second World War, she remembers a place called Eastwick. I am driving her up for a visit this Friday 30/04/10 to see the village and see what she remembers of the place.
