Yew Tree Cottages

A Memory of Esher.

I lived in Yew Tree Cottages, Portsmouth Road, Esher next to the Marquis of Granby pub. I went to Esher Primary School and my mother also went to that school. My father was a welsh guard at Sandown Park.

My grandfather was a taxi driver with horse and trap to start with. He used to wait outside Esher station.

I remember the air raid shelters on the common where we used to have to go.
