Coneyhurst Farm

A Memory of Ewhurst.

I am researching my family tree and I have learned that my ancestor George Worsfold born around 1799 ran Coneyhurst Farm in Ewhurst in the mid to late 1800s. He had 7 children and a lot of other relatives also in Ewhurst and Cranleigh. I am hoping to discover more and perhaps visit Ewhurst soon.

George Worsfold was also my ancestor. He farmed Coneyhurst, which, at the time (1841 to 1871) had between 120 and 140 acres. Unfortunately, the farm passed to the eldest son and not my direct line! I have discovered that Coneyhurst Farm is still standing and is a listed building, so maybe a visit one day.
