More about this scene

The post office on the corner has advertisements for the Doric Cinema, Newmarket. The post office and its sign have now been transferred to the second terrace house. Further down the street is the gable of the Methodist chapel. In the distance is the sign of the Wheatsheaf. The building on the left is dated 1883, and the two shops have now become offices.
