Fairford, The Market Place c.1958

More about this scene
This view of the square shows little change in the thirteen years interim after photograph No F145003, though the ivy creeper has gone from the dwelling on the far right. But the cars are getting bigger, and the Vauxhall exudes the post-war General Motors influence - Britain is going to get a lot more American yet! We also see our first caravan of this book: there will be a lot more over the years, as people seek cheap mobile holidays.
