More about this scene

The photographer is further east than he was when he took F11038, looking west along The Borough towards West Street. Just out of view to the right is Castle Street, Farnham's best street architecturally, with the Town Hall, a 1930s neo-Georgian building, on the Castle Street corner opposite the Queen's Head. The Brown Owl café is now the Sevens bar and restaurant.

I note that the traffic was still two-way at this time. I also note the coach stopped opposite the cleaners, a few yards down from Woolworths, the Royal Blue used to stop here, en route from the Coast to London. Left Farnham in 1967. Now reside in Florida.
