More about this scene
As can be seen from the two television aerials sprouting above the rooftop on the right, modern innovations in home entertainment were already making their presence felt in the early sixties. This peaceful village lies below the slopes of the Greensand Hills. A cumbersome sit-up-and-beg bicycle with panniers on the back has been left leaning against one of the stone pillars around the small front garden of the house whose windows have been thrown open to the summer air.
