More about this scene
This is a pretty church in a small village to the north east of Melton Mowbray, on what was once a route through to Sproxton. Earthworks around the village, including a sunken way to the north, speak of a larger medieval settlement. The pinnacled tower, faced in limestone, is of the 15th century, while the body of the church was built in ironstone a century earlier.
