Frindsbury, All Saints Church c.1960

More about this scene
Much vandalised in the 1950s, the prominent but isolated old church became one of the first in the Rochester diocese to lock its doors when not in use and the first to install an alarm system. The workman on the scaffolding against the tower, however, is more probably repairing the ravages of time, the most relentless vandal of all.
