More about this scene
An isolated village of flint and brick cottages, to the west of Chichester. In the village are Adsdean, a gabled Tudor style house of around 1850, and the church of St Mary, built in 1859. Northbrook Watermill is in very flat country nearby. The Stores is seen next door to a thatched house and restaurant. The shop is now a house, although Halliday's restaurant is still trading.
