Family History

A Memory of Gateshead.

My father was called Frank Feeley he was born at home, 111 Oak Street, Gateshead in 1919.
He was the 3rd son of William Feeley and Lillian Feeley (nee Gardiner-Battensby). They had 4 children; John (Jack), William (Bill,) Frank and Margaret. Margaret died at the age of 21. My grandfather, William Feeley, also lived at 44 Fourth Street, Gateshead but I don't know when. My great grandfather was John Feeley, married to Isabelle Barrass on my grandfather's side. My great grandfather was John Gardiner-Battensby, married to Jane Oliver on my grandmother's side. My father also seems to have lived at 22 The Villas, Gateshead when he was 20. He joined the TA's then, he was in the Royal Engineers in the 2nd World War. I know very little of those times and hope to look further into my family tree and life in Gateshead.
