Uncle Bert And Auntie Toppy
A Memory of Gilberdyke.
Hi Susan, I have just read your message. I have happy memories of visits to Uncle Bert and Auntie Toppy when they lived in what I believe was called Railway Cottages, which were situated between two sets of railway lines. It was a young boy's dream to see steam trains thundering past (my age then being between about 3-10). I can remember walking alongside the track to take my Uncle Bert his lunch in the signal box and watching all the levers etc.
Happy Days!
