The original Crown Hotel stands to the left of St Paul's Church; the clock tower has not yet been built. In the centre, we can see Bailey Lane climbing steeply up towards Crown Hill, with the railway crossing keeper's house to its right at the bottom. Bailey Lane Pier has been demolished.
