A horse-drawn omnibus can be seen in the distance in this Edwardian photograph. Nine years before it was taken, a young Flora Thompson, who wrote the trilogy 'Lark Rise to Candleford', came to Grayshott to work at the post office. One of its customers was George Bernard Shaw, who rented a house in the village.
