More about this scene
The church has been much re-built and re-designed over the years. It was demolished and rebuilt in the 17th century and effectively rebuilt in 1854-5 and again in 1880-1. This latest set of modifications included the installation of the seven-bay arcade between nave and aisle pictured here, a new stained glass window above the altar and new floor tiles.
