More about this scene
The 16th century timber-framed Plough and Fleece public house on the left of the road was just one of the three pubs in the village. In the 19th century, it introduced limited opening hours when the coprolite diggers became rowdy. The opening of the Cambridge by-pass in 1978 unfortunately saw an increase in the traffic along this quiet road.
