Horsforth, Springfield Hospital 1901

I too remember going to this place from when I was 7 year old in 1976 until 1981 and what I can remember is, my mam told me that my dad sent me here becuase I was total uncontrollable and this was the only way that my dad could see it at the time. I really hated it and I didn't want to be there at first, but as time went on I really loved the place. I have some good and bad memories but overall I miss the place.

I was 7yrs old when I visited this place with my mum and sister which was (1973) and I was told this was going to be my home for a while because mum was too ill to look after me...it was called Springfield boarding school and although I hated it at first because I got homesick I settled in and I loved it so much.  I remember crying loads, some good memories lay there, and I'm trying to find as much information ...see more
