Fond Memories Rosalind Arnold
A Memory of Hounslow.
I also went to the Saturday Matinee at the Odeon when I was a child I just loved it.
I also went ballroom dancing upstairs and it was fun but not when my feet got trodden on.
My school was Bulstrode Secondary Modern I didn't really like it that much. Loved the kids library as a child, and lampton park
I new Big Jim Sullivan and I and my boyfriend Michael Wilson used to go to rehearsals when Jim and the boys played. Michael was their manager at that time, before Big Jim found success playing for Tom Jones and becoming friends with Elvis. I really miss those years, and Hounslow very much. I lived at Vine Place, Hounslow Central.
Maybe some of you may know me or my brother Ron Arnold (he played Jazz and went out with Jill Ireland for two years before she married David ) If so I'd love to hear from you. Hopefully Syd and Tubby are still around who played with Big Jim, hopefully they will see this and contact me, they are great memories of the past.
