Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Kelvedon Hatch is a popular commuter village in the Green Belt north-west of Brentwood. It is now well-known for its formerly 'secret' government nuclear bunker. The village's focus is its pond, and the two pubs that flank it. The stocks can be found at the junction of Blackmore Road and Stocks Lane.

Teenage Years
My parents moved to Woodside School Lane in about about 1956 and I spent a few happy years there. We lived opposite the playing fields. I believe houses are now there. We had Saturday dances in the hall which were great fun. Before I started my nurse training I worked in a care home in Dudbrook,which if I remember rightly was for elderly people from East London. My 3 nephews attended the Primary school in the village.

My Boyhood Years
My Mum and Dad lived quite close to Common Stocks, and as a boy along with mates of mine namely Keith Mills and Len Shuttleworth we would often clown around and pretend we were prisoners that had there legs locked as we were young enough to place our feet through the round holes in the Stocks. Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
