Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

This is also known as Comberton Hill. The station approach is off to the left in front of the 'Catering' sign. The Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton railway opened on 1 May 1852, and amalgamated in 1863 with the Great Western Railway. The restored Severn Valley Steam Railway is a great tourist attraction - it ran its first public train on 23 May 1970 between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade. At Kidderminster the Carriage Shed project was completed in 2000 to protect a unique collection of railway carriages.

Shopping With Mum
The girl in the foreground could easily be me with one of my brothers in his pram. It was usual to be left outside the shop to look after one or all of my brothers - and of course very safe to do so - when my mum went inside to shop. Tbc Garage
My father (Frank Francis) worked at this garage TBC following his return to Kidderminster at the end of the war. He worked there through all of the remaining 40s and 50s. As a young boy I had the run of the garage and its roof garden. Mr Cut Price Buyright Ltd
My first job working in grocery joining the first cut price supermarket of its time giving green shield stamps , and the big flood in Mill street in1960-61 does anyone remember this . Terry Moore from Kidderminster. This store was between Noakes furniture shop and Prices the prom shop then Buyright Ltd then the old Grand picture house.

The Fire Station By The Castle 1965
Kidder fire station was then the North Division headquarters of the old Worcester & County Fire Brigade . Aged 20 I started my first day as a fireman in July 1965 here. Some of the watch I served with were Sub officer Keith Livermore, Leading fireman Ted Farr,Fm Ted Oakey, fm Jack Foxal , fm Dadge, fm 'Tiny' Yarrington. Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
