My Memories Of Kingswinford

A Memory of Kingswinford.

I was born in Standhills Rd,went first to St Marys then to Bromley Hills. Then spent my senior years at Penzer St School.Although there was some of the lessons i liked,my favourite was P.E.our Teacher was Mrs Waters. My Friend Wendy and myself loved Rounders and Hockey.I did hold the School record at the time for throwing the Rounders ball & the Javlin. In my last year and after leaving school my friend Wendy and myself we're in the Kingswinford Ladies Hockey Club.I Married a Kingswinford Man at St Marys Church. We still live in Kinswinford, and love the fact that you don't need to venture far for shopping and the lovely countryside surrounding us.

June Ryder nee Morris
School holidays we're spending time up what we used to call the "tump" which is a rise behind the summerhouse pub,Standhills Rd & the Knoll. My friend Wendy & myself spent many hours with friends up there.Mothers of today would'nt believe how lucky they were not having to amuse and spend all the money spent today to keep their children amused. However it's probably a safer option.Imust say we were in the senior School at the time."happy days"
