More about this scene
Under the Griffin Hotel signboard, and in the midst of the dominating chain stores and offices, Jackson's barber's shop still shows a traditional striped pole. On the left in the distance are the offices of the Provincial Insurance Company and closing the end of the street is the Majestic, where the people of Leeds could enjoy dancing. A Morris Minor heads along Boar Lane towards the City Square. Introduced in 1948 the Minor has since become a classic car enjoying a cult following.
