Llanbedrog Bryn Du

A Memory of Llanbedrog.

I spent every summer staying with the Jones family at Bryn Du farm, from about 1957 to 1965. They were friends of my parents. The farm was sold some years ago, after Tom Jones had died. I enjoyed the farm very much, which was only about three acres, or so.

Tom was also a welder, and he was married to a German lady, Anna.

I also enjoyed going down to the beach and the shop where I used to buy my bucket and spade and fishing net is still there.

Abersoch was also a favourite, as were many of the beaches in the area.

Happy Days. My father met my mother there in the 1930s, as Dad was camping with the Boys Brigade and mum was staying with her friend, Catherine Jones, at the farm. They both were trainee nurses at the time.
