I went to live in Llanthony village around 1970 with my husband who was brought up at The Daren Farm, and our children Lynda and Andrew. We lived in The Cornmill which is directly opposite the old post office, it was called Mill Cottage then and Met and Gertrude (Rachel) lived there. The Llanthony Post Office was originally the Mill Cottage and my great great great grandparents George and Margaret Harrison lived there. Just across the track from there was the Mill which was three storeys high, and George was the Miller of Llanthony. They lived there, as recorded in the cenus's of 1841 through to 1861, and from then on their daughter Margaret lived there with her husband Daniel Nichols, who was a carpenter.
