More about this scene
Ancient Lostwithiel was once the capital of Cornwall, and on a slope above the town are the ruins of the 12th-century Restormel Castle, owned by the Dukes of Cornwall. There is much to see in the town, including the old Duchy Palace, the remains of the quays, and the octagonal spire of the 14th-century church of St Bartholomew.
