George Coombs was born in Maiden Newton in 1773. He later took a soldier's grant of 200 acres in Ontario - where we still live.

And he was my 1st Cousin 6x removed if I'm not mistaken? Stumbled upon this 'memory' by chance whilst reminiscing about where I was brought up. Serendipity!
