More about this scene
Marloes village and the sands that are so attractive to holidaymakers were well served by this charming little building. It served as the post office and general stores until around 1965. The wonderful sandy beaches of the Sands have a backdrop of stunning rock formations in shale and sandstone. Holidaymakers may not always have known about the 130 or so Iron Age hut circles that exist on Gateholm Island, accessible at low tide.
