All 300,000 photographs in The Frith Collection have been scanned, but as the photos were taken over a 110 year period on a wide range of glass & film negatives, using different photographic processes, every image has to be checked and optimised, before we make a print for a customer.

I was born in marple bridge and went to ludworth primary school mr Kennedy was then headmaster. We used to live over the road from the school, my grandfather Frank Taylor was I believe the village blacksmith years ago. When the blacksmiths closed his nephew took over the premises and ran a wood yard.We lived in the adjoining house. I have fond memories spent with my grandparents who lived at The Oaks in Girdlane, Mill Brow. I used to walk to Marple Bridge with my grandma to do the shopping. I was born in Stephouses, Hollywood Lane, Mellor and went to school for a time at the Church School in Mellor - Mrs Rudge was the Headmistress.
