More about this scene

Twinned with Agincourt, Middleham today is a major centre for racehorse breeding and training - 300 horses are stabled around the village. The Memorial School, opposite the majestic Middleham Castle (c1180), was erected in memory of Rector James Birch. It was dedicated as a public school for the town in 1869, and is now a bookshop and gallery. The Queen Victoria fountain records her life story - her birth in 1819, her accession in 1837 and her Jubilee in 1887. The railings were taken away in the Second World War.

They also had a few hens and cows. Her father's name was Bob Doother. The living quarters were above the shop. I have been back to Middleham recently but cannot find the building. If anyone reads this and can give me any ...see more
