More about this scene

This is a splendid county town; we see awnings shooting over the shop fronts and a number of cars dotting the kerbs. Bicycles propped up against the curbs predate modern bike racks. On the right is a branch of Hepworths, whose shop sign declares it to be a 'clothiers' rather than the 'tailors' they were later to become. The tower of St Mary's Church overlooks the town.

A Selection of Memories from Mold

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Mold

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

I lived above Blundells shop on New Street when I first got married.
