More about this scene
The sharp fangs of the Morte Slates have ripped through the hulls of many vessels. Locals regarded wrecks as fair game, and often the survivors were killed to prevent news of the sinking getting out. One charming woman named Elizabeth Berry was reputed to have held sailors under with a pitchfork until they drowned.
