Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

These gates, with agricultural implements incorporated, are situated at the Holly Lodge on the Boughton Road west of the village. They are apposite, for Moulton College of Agriculture occupies the land north of Moulton village. Now known as Moulton College and the Hulcot Centre, it still serves the same function, with the addition of a farm produce shop. Most of the agricultural college buildings date from the 1930s.

My Childhood Memories
I have some great memories of my childhood in the village, I used to deliver meat on the bike for the Co-op when Fred Quincey was the butcher. I used to deliver it every Tuesday night and Saturday morning, I also helped my uncle Tom Birch on a Sunday with his milk round. Working At The Coop Store.
This used to be a very busy street, with the Coop Store, butchers and the office at the back of the butchers, also the coal yard at the back. I worked at the Coop 1957 to 1963, very happy times. In the winter, the manager, Ron Birch had to go down the cellar and light the boiler with coke from the coal yard to heat the radiators, but it still was very cold. Stocks Hill.
Known as Stocks Hill, on the left of the photo is the Coop Drapery Shop. At the side of the shop was an alley and the Coop Bakery was there. The house facing in the picture was Ted Witneys car repair yard, along High Street was Keffords shop, Mrs Briton's drapery shop,The White Lion Pub, Mrs Thompson's shop, she used to open Sunday afternoons for us children when we came out of Sunday School. Mr Tite,S Shop
My memories of West St, opposite Sid Smith's cobblers shop in the photo, Mr Tite's shop - he used to come down 3 or 4 steps from his living room, he sold lots of halfpenny and penny sweets - the best buy was 1 penny packet of broken crisps. Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
