I lived in married quarters on Choulston Close in 69 /71, my then husband was with the 2nd Battallion Light lnfantry and had a posting there. At the time there was only 2 rows of houses l lived at 28.I remember the guard room being secured because of lra threats at the time.My two children were born there in 69and 71 one was born at Tidworth army hospital the other at Odstock hospital in Salisbury.A very lonely time as it was isolated up at the top of a hill.I used to walk down to the church at the bottom and wander around the graveyard to look at graves of soldiers who fell during the world wars many Americans were buried there. We had no mobile phones in those days no land line and the houses left a lot to be desired very cold.
