Class 1957 62

A Memory of Northolt.

I was at Walford from 57-62 . I remember mr Clark, miss Clarke, mr Acland, mr Pickering and mr batts. I went on a trip to tesserete near Lugano in 1959. I remember Chas Ramsay, Malcolm young and Martin Gill.There was a big campaign to build a swimming which wasn’t built before I left and I remember the headmaster was keen that we all joined the scripture union. My grandmother Ella Clark came from northleach, her parents were Arthur and Jane & my aunt was post mistrise

Alan, add teachers:- Mr Baggs, Miss Lynch, Mr Carr (senior & junior. Pupils : Roger Swain, Anthony Mcgee, Colin Capper, Dougls Douglas, Pat Beauchamp, Linda Burt, David Mould, David Seymour, Brian Farr, Robert Hillen, Chris Layzell etc etc. Martin Gill was a friend who lived at the White Hart and we all played in the fields that are now covered in housing estates. Also across the Greenford Road we played in the old GPO research site near the Byron pub which was used by the Civil Defence for practising Nuclear disasters. The Walford that we new was demolished some while ago. Me? i'm Roy Chaney
