This view of Riverside Road was taken from Foundry Bridge. By 1938, the trees planted in the 1880s were mature. The area beyond the Foundry Bridge had been converted into the city yacht station for pleasure boats, although as can be seen from this photograph, barges remained at the warehouse opposite.
