Farleigh Dene. Cliddesden

my comment on Farleigh Dene is not connected to Oakley. That is miles from Farleigh Dene towards Whitchurch. However, my memories of Farleigh Dene are very special. A beautiful georgian manor and one of the biggest houses in cliddesden. it included a tennis court, stables, gardeners cotttage, vegetable plots, gardens, 2 acre meadow and a walnut tree.we sold it after i married john and johns job took us north to lancashire. we joined a christian commune there and made many friends from cambridge university.however our marriage failed and after our divorce john met a lady and i met a single man , so we both remarried. my second husband was a rather hells angel but he believed in Jesus. he led me to find faith. id been an athiest and didnt realise.

after leaving school i got a job with the electricity board as a draughtswoman. i worked on the drawing board for 3 years. after meeting john he took me to Bible School although i didnt want to go. after getting honours there i joined the royal forestry commission and worked as a draughtswoman there for the Queen. i left after 3 years to raise my children. i worked as an artist from home and kept to that . i was placed in the top 3 in national painting compettiions including a sainsbury painting competition when i had joint second place as a runner-up.
