Hi Cliff,
I remember two of the lads you have mentioned in your post, Dai Griggs & Titch Gregory (Allan, I believe?). We started School at Aber Infants at the same time. I was born in Riverside Cottage at the bottom of High Street, and lived there with my Aunty Kate and her husband until movlng first to Pantyrawel then Blackmill. I believe my Aunty Kate's husband was a relative of yours, his name was John Leonard Keagle, though most knew him as "Jackos", I'm not sure if the spelling is correct. He died in the early 1940's from an infection resulting from an injury to one of his legs in a mlning accident.

In your post you mentioned you were trying to trace your cousin
Brian Keagle? I think I may be able to help you, as my Wife's cousin Linda married a Brian Keagle in 1962. He was born in early 1942 and is the only one of that name that I can find who was born in this area.
My Wife and myself visited them many years ago and as far I can tell they still live in, Commercial Street, Nantymoel.
Hope this helps,
Tony Cornelius.

Hello Mr Keagle. My name is Paul Gregory,Alan (Titch) Gregory's son. I was looking on this website, and was shocked to see my father mentioned. His nickname has been Scrag since before I was born, and has lived in Pencoed for 51 years. He's still alive and kicking, and he's in his garden so much that he's now an honorary gnome. I've phoned him and told him about you,and he did remember you as well. All the best,Paul.
