More about this scene
The college was founded in 1326 by Adam de Brome, Almoner to King Edward II, who was its first Provost. Sir Walter Raleigh and Cecil Rhodes are among the more famous men associated with Oriel. The college was famously linked with the Oxford Movement, and Keble, Froude, Pusey and Thomas Arnold all became elected fellows.
