Peckham Rye And The Disc

A Memory of Peckham.

Hi carol I was so pleased to read your post I too have many happy memories of Peckham and I remember you very well I am Chris Kindred; maybe the Chris you mention in your post I hope so I am still in touch with Graham Long and Franie Reardon haven,t seen Freddie Smith or Martin Norris for many years How lucky where we to grow up in that place at that time I have saved a lot of the music which was played at the Disc Do you remember walking down Rye Lane to the disc it was really cool there until about 10pm when all the girls left to catch the bus home, how times have changed you must remember The Kings Arms the local meeting place on the corner of East Dulwich Road or how about the open air swimming baths by the bus stop.I now live in as small village in Kent called Lower Halstow we moved down in 1972 and have 2 daughters just to recap I lived in the Bakers which was midway between the Kings Arms and the Heaton Arms on the left Its so nice to contact some one with shared memories I really hope you see this as I have lots of things to add so if you wish you can email me ckindred100@aol.com
