More about this scene
An island of commercial premises faces right, into King Street, and left, into Rowcliffe Lane. On the left side of King Street is the Robin Hood Inn where in 1794 William Wordsworth cared for his friend and benefactor Raisley Calvert during his terminal illness. On the far left the tall arched windows belong to the Presbyterian Church, now Princes Court apartments.
