Robbins/Blizzard Family

A Memory of Pershore.

I would like to discover any information about my grandparents Tom and Lillian Robbins who lived in Church Lane, Pinvin circa 1940's. or about any of the Tom Robbin's siblings: Frank Robbins, Harold Robbins, Ada Robbins. Ada married into the Green family. I know Tom died in 1945 and Lillian in 1951. My mother was Evelyn Alice Robbins who married Percival Douglas Trudgian in 1948, I was born in Church Row, Church Lane Pinvin in 1954 before moving onto what was known as the "Camp" in Hurst Park. The Robbins family seemed to have had a presence in Throckmorton and Bishampton during the 19th century and thanks to Charles Rigg (Bishampton) I have discovered that Thomas Robbins appears on the 1930 War Memorial in Bishampton as well as some other interesting snippets.

It would be nice if anyone had any old photos of Church Row, Pinvin or of Church Lane. Any of the Camp in Hurst Park would also be of great interest.

My mother had a twin sister Beatrice Florence Robbins who married Maurice Ellsmir Waters, his mother was Dorothy M Izod and he lived for many years at Wyre Piddle. before his death in 1979

From my family research so far, it seems that my grandfather's lineage goes back through the Robbins on my grandfather's side, Blizzard, Carter and King family way back in the 1860's and beyond, whilst my maternal grandmother was a Walcroft, Walker & Ghilson lineage from around Oxford and Warwickshire.

my email is davetrudgian@btinternet.com should you wish to offer any information which would of course be greatly appreciated
